Was born 5 of April 1958 in the city of Kharkov.

Was awarded the grant of being “zaslujenij

master of sports” in football. He played as: forward, half back,

and defender. He was playing for the football team “Dynamo-

Kiev”. Several times he was golden medallist in the USSR

championships in the years of 1977, 1980, 1981, 1985, 986,

1990. Also, he was silver medallist in the years of 1978, 1982,

and 1988. In addition, he was bronze medallist too in 19979,

and 1989. He was winner of the USSR Cup in 1978, 1982, 1985,

1987, and 1990. In overall he has played number of 278 matches,

and scored 27 goals. In the list of the The Best 33 he was

mentioned 11 times (8 times as number 1). He is the winner

of the “Cup of the Cups Winners” in 1986. He is the winner and

the best player of the first “World Championship Under-21”

( Tunis, 1977). He participated in the World Championships in

1982, 1986, and 1990. He was bronze medallist of the Olimpics

in 1980 in Moscow, and the silver medallist of the European

Championships in 1988. 82 times played for the national team of

the USSR. He coached in such teams as: “Dynamo- Kiev II”;

“Borisfen- Borispol”; “CSKA- Kiev”, and currently he is head

coach for the National Team of Turkmenistan. In 1982 he was

married on famous Ukrainian rythmic gymnast Viktoria Serykh.

The first child (boy) Sasha was born in 1982, the second (girl)in 1984.
